I just made myself a home art studio; no more having my art supplies stuffed in various closets and corners. This used to be our junk room; I cleaned it out and gave it a fresh coat of paint. I also frosted the windows to allow diffused daylight.
I’ve been collecting the furniture from estate sales, fb marketplace, and thrift stores for a while now. The cabinet was an old store soft-pastels display that I was very lucky to find at an estate sale. I designed and 3d printed tray inserts to perfectly fit in the drawers so it can keep my drawing supplies organized. The drafting table is a vintage Hamilton. The drafting chair is one my college was throwing away. The three metal storage racks are all repurposed retail displays found at thrift stores and marketplace. Piece by piece, it came together on a modest budget. All I need to do now is decide what art to hang up…
